Olive Branch Christian Fellowship gathered for the first time on Easter Sunday, 2011, at Lake Poway Park and began gathering regularly on Mothers Day (May 8th) at Painted Rock Elementary School in Poway, CA.
Pastor Scott Gehrman and his wife Charlene founded Olive Branch Christian Fellowship in 2011 after planting and serving with two other churches in the San Diego North County area. They planted Olive Branch with the mission of feeding the flock of God and gathering His lost sheep. Scott faithfully led the church for nearly 10 years before retiring.
A second chapter in the story of Olive Branch began in the fall of 2020 with pastor Scott retiring and the arrival of Trevor O’Keefe.
The O’Keefe family are Poway residents who have a love for Jesus and heart for the community. Trevor grew up in the home of a pastor and church planter who moved his family from Southern California to the suburbs of Washington D.C. in the late eighties. Trevor’s faith took root late in high school after hearing someone teach on grace. The impact of God’s grace shifted the trajectory of his life and soon Trevor was enrolled in a Bible college that would bring him back to the West Coast.
Trevor served in pastoral ministry for over 16 years in San Diego county before his arrival at Olive Branch Christian Fellowship.
Trevor also serves as the Chaplain for the City of Poway’s Fire Department.
